A Landlord certificate has a list of requirements which includes the checking of ventilation, gas supply, gas tightness (leaks), burner pressure or gas rate (gas being burned) We also record a record property condition as was seen by our engineer.
Our Gas Safe registered engineer will give you a gas safety certificate right after installing or servicing your gas appliance. This certificate can assure you that the gas appliance is safe and the work meets the safety standards.

Landlords must provide a copy of the gas safety certificate for their property to their tenants. This certificate proves that gas appliances have been safety checked and serviced every year by a registered engineer.
You need to understand your landlord’s legal responsibilities, therefore please ask your landlord for a copy of the gas safety certificate and check the date.
When you buy a home, you should be given a copy of the gas safety certificate by the vendor. Make sure you get the gas safety certificate from the vendor before moving in. Otherwise you should get a Gas Safe register engineer to get the appliances checked.
